A Patch Of Discolored Stone

Maruc lifted the keys. As he did so, he noticed that, just under the hook that held the keys, was a patch of discolored stone that stuck out of the wall a half an inch.

  1. Shortest entry ever!

The other doors in the room correspond to the other doors that were above. There are four doors in the room. Three that lead to elevators, including the one that the group came from, and one other door that is locked and reinforced that leads presumably into the dungeon.

  2. Saeth Tegau

‘The Dwarf should stay ready?’, thought Saeth. ‘What about me, caught in this underground pit. I’m not worth being ready?’ Thinking the better of opening her mouth, she readied her daggers alongside Feldard’s picture of vigilence, ready to show them who knew her stuff in a fight.

  3. Maruc (Clr 4)

“What do you make of this Feldard?” Asked the priest gesturing to the anomily.

  4. Feldard (Dwf 3)

Feldard moved forward to inspect the patch of stonework. That the discoloured stone was a trigger of some sort was obvious.. but to what exactly was something the dwarf was studying the engineering of it to determine. Was it a trap or a hidden means of opening something? Feldard scratched at his beard as he looked over the discoloured stone and then the walls around, the floor and then peering up towards the ceiling. Traps were more Nicolai’s trade but some where not beyond the knowledge of an engineer such as himself.

  5. Nicolai (T4)

Hopefully, Nicolai has time to run down to where Feldard and the others are and inspect the area in question.

“Ashira, does the mean anything?” referring to the patch of discoloured stone, then Nicolai searches for traps.

  6. Miklos (Mu 3)

Miklos breathlessly followed after the much fitter Nicolai wondering what all the hurry was suddenly about. Appearing at the passageway he noticed the note left by Maruc. He scanned it and spent a few moments studying the door mechanism and entered the dungeon.

Thinking aloud he said, “I wonder why he went to such lengths to conceal his prisoners? Perhaps they are important?”

  7. Maruc (Clr 4)

Maruc beckoned the serving girl over. “Ashira, have you noticed this before? Do you know what it does?”

  8. Saeth:
    Maruc: 10xp +10xp +10xp
    Nicolai: 10xp +10xp
    Feldard: 10xp+10xp

    Saeth: 6225/8000
    Maruc: 6210/12000
    Miklos: 6205/10000
    Nicolai: 5890/9600
    Feldard: 6360/8800
