Saeth gestured for the party to stop, oblivious to the fact that only Feldard could see the motion in the dark. After listening in silence for a sound from the far side of the door, the Elf concluded that there was nothing there. She stepped back, then delivered a great kick to the portal, determined to open it.
The dwarf watched as the Elf tried kicking the door open. He’d be much amused if she hurt her foot instead. But wishful thinking or not, he edged closer and got into a position just off to the side of the Cleric.
The door burst open with a crack. The room ahead was dark. It was 20′ x 20′ square, with stone walls and a 15′ high ceiling. Wine casks were stacked along the south wall, and the other half of the room was filled with a cluttered mess of old furniture, tools, boxes and crates of odds and ends.
Another wooden door was across from the group, on the east wall of the room.
