Hasan opened the door. Nicolai and Saeth stood behind Hasan with sword drawn. Miklos stood further back as there were certainly enough tough people here to deal with a maddened elf.
Hasan looked the captive elf squarely in the eye. It was the same elf that he had clunked in the head on his daring escape from the prison cell.
Opening his empty hands, he said, “Lihrien, come with me! I come here to rescue you, and these who travel with me—they are friends. Come now. Walk with us in these haunted deeps, and we will find Elrond and who knows what more. Or go ye back to Rahasia and tell her that I live and seek her father. What say ye?”
“You! Elrond has fallen! I have no need of your rescue. The Rahib brings the return of the Sisters Three. All who stand against them shall fall!” The elf did not attack. Though the charm enchantment still held sway over him, it did not make the Siswa suicidal.
Hasan, though not as well versed in the history of the clan as Rahasia, recognised who the Siswa referred to. The others too recognized the reference, their minds racing to remember the information that the elven maiden had relayed to them at the start of their mission:
“The elves of our clan took over Teriak’s tower and cleansed it and the surrounding forest of the dark enchantments and settled here to protect against evil’s return. However, one artifact of the vile cabal remained. The Black Opal Eye. The eye enhanced Elyas’s power, and he was inclined to keep it for its powers of seduction were great. Among Elyas’ apprentices were three sisters. Among the clan, they were the most gifted in the arcane. Over time, The Black Opal Eye warped their minds to evil. Eventually, they turned on Elyas and attacked him. Elyas’ last act was to bind their spirits. He was determined to destroy the eye, but the tower collapsed before he could do so, burying him and the eye in Grey Mountain.”

DM: Can I assume that I have managed to return with Feldard?
October 6, 2007 at 4:36 am
“I agree with Nicolai.” said the Mage, “Until I can find some way of countering this charm we shall get very little information from him.”
As usual Miklos tried to fit the information into some kind of logical order. “Still, we might be able to guess at the nature of the Sisters Three and consider ways that we might confound them? This charm is a clue and the professions of the Rahib and Denetiata are another. We also have Dread Sevastian and we need to find out the properties of the Black Opal Eye, one of with is its ability to ‘charm’ its owner, although that could be natural greed. Although I suspect Maruc would have a better idea when it come to creatures from beyond the grave.. bah! I am forgetting the time frame. Hasan, how long ago did Elyas dwell in these halls? Would it be concievible that the Sisters Three are still alive? I have been told the elves may live for thousands of years.”

Write up something for how Maruc convinced/forced Feldard to wear the Siswa robe.

“Bah … you dream like an old elf remembering springs past, Lihrien. Come now. if you truly wish to trust the Rahib against me, your own kinsman, then you shall stay here as I did before you. I give you one last chance to journey with us or warn our kinsman.”
Motioning the others forward, Hasan seizes the captive elf. With a brusque sorry, he begins to grab his arms and bring them together to be bound.
If he hears no acquiescence to his final command to the fallen elf, Hasan will do what he can to bind the elf, and then urge the others to quickly move on toward the deeps below.

Feldards head swam, the blood loss was starting to affect his ability to think. His heart was pounding wildly to keep what little blood there was left in him useful. The cold was creeping into his fingers and the persperation dripped from his scarred brow into his eyes. he tried to pulling himself to his feet but all he could manage was a squirming crawl to somewhere less obvious. He glanced back at the pathetic distance he had covered and the smear of blood the trailed to him and he felt the amusment of the situation lighten his spirits a little. One day, he thought, I’m going to look back on this a laugh. A dizzyness took him suddenly and he stopped and took a few deep breaths. Little did he realise at this point any ordinary man would have fainted by now, but a low anger at his weakness kept him awake and to some degree alert. In some respects he was glad that the others had left him, despite being stuck in this god forsaken elfhole, at least he had the privacy to suffer in peace. His mouth was dry, probably due to bloodloss he guessed, so with some effort he scrabbled for his canteen, uncorked it and let the sweet water dribble down his throat. Well, that old elf guardian still hasn’t gotten one over on this dwarf! He glanced down at his armour, It’d need some work on it when he got back to Specularum but it was worth every gold sovereign he patted the breast plate companionably and allowed himself a smile, as no one was about. Then the temple door swung open.
A rush of adrenelin brought the dwarf axe to his hand and he struggled for purchase to stand.

“Right.” Maruc said very firmly, “We can do this with good grace and we shall donn these robes and return to the others or,” Maruc paused for effect “I render you unconsious for your own good, wrap you in a robe like a child and carry you. Whats it to be? Halav knows what Saeth would say if I arrived carrying you.”
October 8, 2007 at 11:29 pm
The Dwarf angrily bit back rude retort, he struggled to his feet and ignored the light headed feeling. In a low menacing tone said, “And what makes you think you can take me eh? I told them and I’m telling you, no one makes me wear an elfrobe.” He felt his knee buckle but his arm shot out against the wall and steadied him. All that passed his face was a flicker of annoyance, nothing more.
October 8, 2007 at 11:33 pm
The priests faced became expessionless, almost sad, “Like a child you shall be carried then.” He marched purposely toward the subborn dwarf and clenched his fist to deliver a blow.
October 8, 2007 at 11:37 pm
Feldard looked at the priest and read the determination. The dwarf had no real disire to fight, indeed the last thing he wanted was to be punched into unconsciousness by a bible wielding cleric. The thought brought a smile to his face.
October 8, 2007 at 11:40 pm
This unsettled the priest as he came within striking distance, trying to maintain his anger, which was hard because Maruc was never naturally agressive, he demanded, “Whats so funny?”
October 8, 2007 at 11:48 pm
“You know,” seeing the priest pause the dwarf said conversationally, “I won’t floor you because I like you, I also trust you to keep a secret.” He turned and leant his back on the wall and slowly slid down to a sitted position and an uncharacteristic triedness entered his voice. “I’ll put on your elfridden costume if you promise not to mention it to the ‘fairies’. I lose it before I go downstairs.”
October 8, 2007 at 11:51 pm
Maruc shook his head and passed the cloak to the dwarf. “You get healing when I get a chance to perform my meditations. I swear one day Master Feldard you’ll be the death of me. Can you walk?”
October 8, 2007 at 11:56 pm
“Of course I can walk.” snapped the dwarf who put on the robe then took two stepps and collided with the priest. The two companions made their way back throught the chamber beneath the gaze of the guardian to the top of the stairs. Feldard shugged of the cloak and staggled down the stairs feeling very tired.
October 8, 2007 at 11:58 pm
Maruc followed the dwarf briefly acknowedged the others, ignored the new elf then sat down and resumed his meditiations. It was pointless going further with out rest and healing.

Saeth, seeing Hasan moving into action, does similarly, seizing the Elf’s legs and moving to bind them. “The sooner this one is bound, the faster we can be done with this Dwarf-built place. Miklos, have you anything to gag him?”
OOC: Sorry for my disappearance! My computer fried suddenly, and it’s only just now that I’ve restored internet access. I’m so delighted to be back online!
October 10, 2007 at 10:23 am
“There’s plenty of Siswa robe he’s wearing to gag and bind him with Mistress Saeth” said the mage as he also moved in (behind the others) to help.
