“Well, I suppose some peoples do derive advantage from living in holes.” Even trying to complement the dwarf, the elf managed to sound insulting. “Would you care for the honour of entering first?”
“It’s better than living amongst trees!” the dwarf retorted. Even before the Elf questioned whether he would care to go first, Feldard was in the process of opening the secret passage and leading the way through.
Nicolai climbs down on the other side of the wall, and listens at the door. Hearing nothing and detecting nothing out of the ordinary, he waited until all the others are with him.
The group gathered in front of the door behind which it seemed their attackers had fled.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” Saeth wished she hadn’t offered a position at the front to the dwarf, that she could kick down this door that seemed to perplex he and Nicholai so.
Assuming, of course, that my image of today’s marching order is correct…

Is the door locked? If so Nicolai will attempt to pick it before the others try and barge it down.

(I assumed that Feldard opened it already.. I’m just waiting for the DM to post what’s on the other side and for clarification .. NO he didn’t check for traps that’s a thief thing. He just opened it.)

(oh wait.. I think I see my confusion)
Feldard emerges from the secret tunnel into a room with the only other exit being a door. He stalked towards the door and tries to open it.
If unlocked he proceeds through… if locked he’ll scowl and debates a moment about breaking it down but opts first to see if any have the skill of picking locks “Anyone here good with locks?”
